Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog07.31.08

Since we seem to be running a little behind here in culturegeeks-land (for myself, I blame running after a toddler who can crawl faster than I can walk), let’s post something which should have made it up a week and a half ago.

Yep, Joss Whedon’s Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. It’s what’s currently stuck in my head at all times. Let’s hope Clint can get a group singalong without anyone cease and desisting his ass.

This is the entire episode, 45 minutes with perhaps commercials? I’ve seen it too many times to watch it all again now…

New Whedon series coming11.01.07

I am ridiculously excited.

Echo (Eliza Dushku) [is] a young woman who is literally everybody’s fantasy. She is one of a group of men and women who can be imprinted with personality packages, including memories, skills, language—even muscle memory—for different assignments. The assignments can be romantic, adventurous, outlandish, uplifting, sexual and/or very illegal. When not imprinted with a personality package, Echo and the others are basically mind-wiped, living like children in a futuristic dorm/lab dubbed the Dollhouse, with no memory of their assignments—or of much else. The show revolves around the childlike Echo’s burgeoning self-awareness, and her desire to know who she was before, a desire that begins to seep into her various imprinted personalities and puts her in danger both in the field and in the closely monitored confines of the Dollhouse.

Synopses don’t do anything for me…if you boil down his previous series into blurbs, they sound horrible. So, I’m optimistic. At any rate, I’m feeling some fanboy geeking out tonight.
