Ugh! No, it only took a little over an hour. We didn’t have huge turnout from our precinct, but the district was all crammed in the hot high school cafeteria, so we did our best to get through it fast.
And Gary Hart is in our precinct. He outdressed all of white trash us.
All of the news stories coming out of Super Tuesday say that the two are pretty much tied. What I find really interesting now is the money story. Obama raise $32 million in January, while Clinton raised only $13 million and gave $5 million of her own money to supplement. This story in the NY Times mentions that she’s asked her fatigued doners for another $3 by tomorrow, while I see that Obama has over $7 million in new donations since Tues as of this morning.
I can’t help but think this says something about where the momentum is right now.
I think Ron Paul still does have the single biggest money day, but I see that as more of a coordinated stunt than a real sign of strength. Obama has had some big days, but he also keeps doing it. I’m hearing that they expect Feb fundraising to top the $32M he got in Jan.
Ok, after last night I’m cautiously optimistic. Obama won fricking Nebraska???
I looked it up and us lame-o Oregonians don’t get to vote until May 20. Of course, they way it’s going, our vote may actually count for something this time.
The Maine Democratic caucuses happened today. Obama won by a 2-1 margin in my town. The event was organized by the Keystone Kops, apparently, but I was at least relieved to find out that there were more than 3 Dems in my (affluent, white bread, conservative) village.
Did it take hours? My last caucus was a four-hour groanathon.

I would agree, but the money vs. momentum thing doesn’t necessarily mean much, since Ron Paul had the biggest (is this right?) donation day of anyone.

Looks like he won all over Maine.
