It’s still up as of 8am Eastern today. The undercurrent of hostility within him seethes so closely to the surface that at times he’s even a bit aggressive to the person interviewing him (who is, presumably, 100% in his $cientologist camp, no?) The long pauses he takes between not-terribly-erudite statements look a bit like he’s trying to tame the voices in his head. I’m left with the impression that he believes himself to be much smarter and much more dangerous (in a “cool spy” kind of way) than he really is. Of course, with the $cientologists behind him, he probably is a little dangerous, but turning your lawyers on someone isn’t exactly a James Bond maneuver.

Is he predominantly retarded, or predominantly crazy? As much as I dislike him, I still want to believe it’s all a publicity gimmick, but maybe this is what ferments on an IQ of 50 combined with extreme isolation and a thick, pure layer of fawning sycophants. Basically the same environment as Michael Jackson and Dubya, except MJ’s probably has the IQ of Cruise and Dubya combined.

Gawker looks to be on the verge of a lawsuit over it…
