Yes, after the Omaha idiot goes on a shooting spree saying, “just think tho i’m gonna be fuckin’ famous.”  I’m sure he was talking about all of the blogs like us who will be talking about him, and the video games which will be based off of him.

Oh…wait…no.  He probably means the fact that his face was plastered all over every news web site, and I’m guessing prominently displayed all over the network news.

I was actually legitimately dumfounded when I saw on MSNBC “I’m gonna be famous,” right next to the body count, just to the right of an enormous picture of the tool.  I mean, didn’t the MSNBC editors have any sense of irony? 

Sure, the media excuse is always, “We’re just giving the public what they want.”  Is that really the case anymore?  Can they prove it to us?  I saw that and moved on to other articles.  Showing that crap is just gonna make some other idiot who doesn’t get enough attention in life to shoot up some other place knowing that a) his pain will be over, b) everyone he’s ever met will be talking about him for a month and c) millions of people he’s never met will see his picture all over the place.

And after all of this, Mr. Greatest Generation says this isn’t causing people to go crazy…no no no, it’s blogs and video games.  Dude, I think you dropped the last shred of your dwindling credibility into your Metamucil.  Bummer.
