Going to France? Avoid Embarrassment With This Map
It shows how many times you should kiss someone as a greeting. I was happy to find out that there were no 5’s, as you’d end up spending half the day kissing all the people you meet. Although, there are much worse ways to spend a day, I suppose.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but if you’re going to be kissing someone as a form of greeting, two seems like the right number. One is dismissive, three…well, it’s an odd number, that’s no good. Four…well, you made your point with the first two, now you’re just slobbering on them. If there were any Fives, I’d bet that province was wholly populated by serial killers.

What’s up with that oasis of 1’s almost completely surrounded by 3’s and 4’s? They’re probably afraid to leave home.
In the area of Québec where I studied one summer two kisses seemed to be the norm.
