New Whedon series coming
Echo (Eliza Dushku) [is] a young woman who is literally everybody’s fantasy. She is one of a group of men and women who can be imprinted with personality packages, including memories, skills, language—even muscle memory—for different assignments. The assignments can be romantic, adventurous, outlandish, uplifting, sexual and/or very illegal. When not imprinted with a personality package, Echo and the others are basically mind-wiped, living like children in a futuristic dorm/lab dubbed the Dollhouse, with no memory of their assignments—or of much else. The show revolves around the childlike Echo’s burgeoning self-awareness, and her desire to know who she was before, a desire that begins to seep into her various imprinted personalities and puts her in danger both in the field and in the closely monitored confines of the Dollhouse.
Synopses don’t do anything for me…if you boil down his previous series into blurbs, they sound horrible. So, I’m optimistic. At any rate, I’m feeling some fanboy geeking out tonight.

*groan* I’m ready for the next Whedon project but Eliza Dushku makes me want to gouge out my own eyes.
Yeah, she’s not my favorite either, but I’m willing to give her a chance. After all, I’m not fond of Sarah Michelle Gellar, or David Boreanaz. I liked Nathan Fillion, but his show was canceled after half a season. So, I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt…
Yeah, give Eliza a chance. I grew to like her in that episode where Faith and Buffy switch bodies, because she did a really good Buffy impression, whereas Gellar couldn’t do the bad-ass Faith stuff at all. Then there is the awesomeness that is Bring It On.
Still, I wouldn’t really pay attention to her in a series if Whedon weren’t involved.
Yeah, never watched Tru Calling…
You have a good point, Clinton, about Bring It On. I had forgotten about her in that one.
