The librarian in me would also like to know whether we are going to require tags to publish. Or are we going to operate on the idea that everything is miscellaneous?
Here’s my current solution, and I’m up for people suggesting changes…
1. Find our old list of categories. Strongly suggest people put their post into one or more of the categories. Keep them broad. books, music, movies, etc.
2. add tags with a little more detail. If you’re writing about women gazing at Kirk Eggs, add kirk, eggs into the tags. Also, there’s a plugin called autotags, which apparently does that automatically. I may look at that too.
I hate that Uncategorized category, so I’ll probably recruit you and kate and I to recategorize things that are still in uncategorized.

some catch all for nothingness like rants or hullabaloo. Maybe weird would be good for that.

Am I on crack, or was there no general “humor” category? Maybe even expand that to “pointless humor”? And how about a “what’s up with me” category? Half the topics on Rovidica are who did what on their vacations, how-was-your-weekend/vacation/wedding/funeral/interview/assassination, etc.
* Love the dove lady with the plastic plant on her head and the Kirk obsession
* I can’t see myself taking the time to populate the “All in One SEO Pack” fields unless I get a kickback from your advertisers.
Categories have been added. Please try to categorize your post when you write it, otherwise I’ll do it myself.
Completely ignore the SEO pack stuff. It does stuff to the rest of the site that is worthy of me putting it in, but don’t worry about it on individual posts. If you fill in a headline, body, categories and tags, I’ll be beyond happy.
I can probably put it in that Meta section down at the bottom…only showing up if you’ve logged in.

How’s that sound?
And now we have nested comments
Sounds great. And I like the new theme. The egg is commanding the appropriate amount of awe from our Japanese guest.

Ugh! WTF is happening to my edits?? They are disappearing.
I’ve got an anti-comment spam plugin installed (it comes with wordpress) and it flagged your comment as spam. I unspammed it.
I would add to that list “Rant” and “Rave”. Y’all talk about what you want in the latter.

I also added a “Meta” category for talking about ourselves. This post falls in there.
Has anyone figured how to get WP to stop emailing all the comments to you?
This should be fixed now (unless you get an email when I post this)
